Happy birthday, Abby Kelley Foster (Jan. 15, 1811 – Jan. 14, 1887)!#Quaker. #Pacifist. #Abolitionist. #Suffragist. Radical social reformer. Lecturer. Tax resister. The Massachusetts farm she lived on with her husband (Stephen Symonds Foster) was an important station of the Underground Railroad. Their house at 116 Mower Street in Worcester (known as “Liberty Farm”) is a National Historic Landmark. Abby and Stephen are both buried in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester.
